i guess this is my favourite work so far, i wanted to share this with you, tell me what it feels for you.
my selection for the month
don smith (us), don smith a fulltime professional landscape and sports photographer, (i can tell you that is impossible to do here in portugal unless you want to starve to death), anyway, he has a unique style of photography, iconic places photographed with his interpretation such as the grand canyon, a pro bringing together light, color, and a vision of the wonders of the world, e uses agressive tones and soft processing, check him out.

This is just wonderful, so minimalist and however so gorgeous. Amazing colours and your frame is extremely well balanced : 50% to the sky, 50 to the sand... and in yhe middle this solitary silhouette of a fischerman... 20/20 ! You deserve it.

in my mind this your best one yet... i like the dark mood of the photo with your usual superb execution and composition.. the fisherman's silhouette look stunning amongst this surreal landscape...

First off - beautiful image - I would love to have it in my portfolio! This image will win awards. Secondly I must thank you for your kind words in regards to my work. I am actually in a transition phase in my career having shot professional sports for close to 30 years. My friends think its great, my colleagues think I'm crazy. I'm feeling invigorated with the new challenges! I now spend about 35% of my time shooting sports and 65% shooting landscapes. I still make more money at sports but only because I have gotten established over the years. I plan the same with my landscapes, it just takes time. Oh, to be in such a beautiful spot at the right time ... or waiting for hours for that "right time" to appear, would be magical. This a Nat'l Geographic shot is I ever saw one.

@Jean-Benoît Maréchal: jean, this day was unique, i only used a nd9 graduated to capture this one, the rest was some adjustments on contrast, saturation, and smart sharp, i erased the fisherman footprints with the clone stamp tool.
